Help keep our waters healthy for everyone.
September 15 – 23, 2012
The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is about removing shoreline litter to help create healthy waters for everyone, including the wildlife and communities that depend on them. You can make a world of difference by joining Canadians from coast to coast to coast to clean up shoreline litter in your community.
Two ways for you to get involved:
- Become a Site Coordinator and organize a cleanup in your community.
- Registering to participate in an already organized cleanup.
Start by searching our online map at ShorelineCleanup.ca to find a cleanup near you. You can even suggest new cleanup sites.

We’ve done this a couple of years. It’s nice to see so many people get involved.
I agree Erika, it’s a great family/community event and so worthwhile!
This is truly a worthwhile cause. I believe that there is something similar in Florida, but I don’t know if there is something here. I shall have to look it up.
You are so right Jo-Ann, it truly is a very worthwhile and rewarding cause to participate in. Hope you find one close to your home :)
This is the one I’d like to get my hands on!!! But any shoreline clean done is better for the environment and the people who frequent that beach.
