Layered Mexican Dip {Recipes}

If you have a large family you had better double the recipe for this Layered Mexican Dip because it’s going to disappear very quickly, it is delicious!

It’s great made the night before, and while dinner is being prepared and the kids are doing homework, you can pop some Beanitos chips into a basket and grab this delicious dip from the fridge, I guarantee there will be no cries of “I’m hungry, when’s dinner”??

{This recipe is adapted from the LAYERED DIP WITH WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® DIP AND SALSA on the WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® website}

Layered Mexican Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/2 package dry taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2  sm. container light sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. light mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup guacamole
  • 1/2 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large tomato, seeded & chopped
  • 2 chopped green onions
  • 1/4 small head iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican mix cheese
  • taco chips

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, blend the taco seasoning mix with the softened cream cheese,  light sour cream and mayonnaise.  Spread the mixture onto serving platter.
  2. Add remaining ingredients in layers, in order given. {except chips}
Serve with chips and enjoy!!

      Bonnie, it really isn’t too bad. I used light. sour cream, mayo and cheese and as you said, the are a lot of veges too…hmmm…now I’m getting hungry!!!
