I have very, very thick, colour treated, dry hair and I’m always on the hunt for quality shampoo and conditioners. The gallon of shampoo or conditioner for $1.99 brands just don’t work for me, I end up looking like I permanently have my finger in a light socket. Plus, I don’t like a lot of chemicals in my hair products, I prefer products that have natural ingredients with no sulfates or parabens, both of which can damage your hair and skin.
When I recently had the opportunity to try some Beecology hair products I was very eager to give them a try on my less than cooperative hair!

The first product I tried was the Natural Honey and Botanical Sulfate-Free Shampoo. The first thing I noticed was it’s subtle, clean and very slight floral smell, not overpowering at all. The second was the rich, creamy lather {Often missing from sulfate free shampoos} and finally I love how I could use it every day without it drying my hair and also how it rinsed so cleanly and left my hair feeling soft and smooth, even prior to conditioning!
The shampoo is crafted from a blend of botanicals, including healing and nourishing chamomile, yarrow, orange, honey, and nettle, which repair your hair naturally. With aloe and honey for moisture plus natural wheat and soy proteins for strength, body, and softness.
The second product I tried was the All Natural Hair Conditioner. Like the shampoo, I first noticed a very clean fragrance which was not at all overpowering. I also noticed the conditioner had a thinner, more lightweight feel than some conditioners I have used. It left my hair looking and feeling smooth, soft and shiny and rinsed clean without any noticeable residue.
It is crafted from a blend of aloe, honey, Cupuacu butter, and avocado and hemp oils for conditioning moisture and add silk protein for body and strength. These pure ingredients make the best of natural hair conditioners: a luscious creation rich in healing antioxidants, enriching flavonoids, and essential oils, for soft, silky, irresistible hair.
The nice people at Beecology, also sent along a couple tubes of Buzz Balm beeswax lip balms for me to try.
