Parnevu hair products {Review}

Many of you may have already heard me talk about my thick, colour treated, dry hair and how I’m always on the hunt for quality shampoo and conditioners.  I haven’t been able to find a “supermarket/drugstore” brand that works for my hair type and I’m always on the hunt for quality, reasonably priced hair products.

So, I was excited to have the opportunity to try three products from the Parnevu hair care line.   I purposely picked  a couple products with Tea Tree oil;  I have been hearing a lot these days about the supposed medical properties when applied topically, including antibacterial and antiseptic qualities, so I was curious how they would affect my dry hair.

The first product I tried was the Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo.  As I expected, the first thing I noticed was the distinctive Tea-Tree fragrance.  You would certainly notice it, but it wasn’t overwhelming.  The second was the lather, it was creamy but not too soapy and rinsed very easily.  After shampooing my scalp felt clean and tingly and my hair felt smooth and soft. This shampoo is supposed to be good for dry, itchy scalps and although a dry scalp was not a big problem for me I did notice that my scalp seemed less dry.

Parnevu organic T-Tree Shampoo is a unique blend of botanicals designed to cleanse the hair and scalp of impurities. Its ultra formula penetrates the hair to replace and lock in vital moisture lost to chemical damage and everyday styling. It leaves hair soft and manageable.  Specially formulated with Australian Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia) to help eliminate itching and flaking when used on a regular basis.

The second product I tried was the Parnevu for Extra-Dry Hair – After Shampoo Conditioner.  The first thing I noticed was it’s subtle, clean and slight floral smell. I also noticed the conditioner had a thick, creamy texture that I was able to really work into my hair.  It left my hair looking and feeling smooth, soft and shiny and rinsed clean without any noticeable residue.

The Parnevu After-Shampoo Conditioner is a unique blend of 14 conditioning agents that absorbs quickly into your hair to restore moisture, and to improve body, strength, and manageability.  The vitamin enriched formula penetrates the cuticle and absorbs deep into the hair’s cortex to repair damage. Rich emollients provide moisture to the hair shaft and protects against heat-based styling damage.

The third Parnevu product I tried was the T-Tree Oil Sheen.  I was especially looking forward to trying this product as I have found, as I get older, my hair seems to be losing more and more of it’s shine.

I really like this product, the first thing I noticed was how amazingly lightweight it was and had no heavy or sticky residue.  The second was the subtle, tea tree oil, clean fragrance and finally I love how the shine looked very natural and lasted for hours.  What a did not like about this product was its delivery system;  it was in an aerosol can when a pump bottle would have been an environmentally friendly alternative.

The T-Tree Oil Sheen adds a brilliant luster to dry, dull hair.  As Tea Tree Oil naturally contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it helps to nourish the hair while providing a beautiful finishing sheen and is perfect for all hairstyles.

    Sounds like good stuff! I use keratin in my hair (Gotta get rid of those god-awful curls), so I can only use certain products on my hair.

      Robin, my hair is thick and wavy and when it was long I was always straightening it, and people with straight hair always want thick curly hair…we’re funny creatures aren’t we…lol
