Even though Spring officially begins in six days, it certainly doesn’t look or feel like Spring is even close to happening her in the eastern part of Canada. This winter we have had close to twelve feet of snow, most of it falling in the last seven weeks! And cold…we have been smashing records for cold temperatures too. All in all, it was an epic winter and it is not over yet. We have a blizzard warning today with up to 40 cm of additional snow in the forecast!
I guess there is absolutely nothing we can do to change the weather! However, there is something we can do to feel better. This year, for me, it is looking forward to spring , no more snow and warmer temperatures! Thankfully, there are also a couple of holidays to look forward to, which also helps!
It certainly is beginning to feel a bit more springlike now that Easter and Mother’s Day are right around the corner. And thankfully, Spring Has Arrived at Hallmark too!
For us, Easter is all about spending time with family and preparing a big ham dinner. Also, I usually make up a little basket for each of our Easter dinner guests. We like to include some Easter candy plus a couple of fun and thoughtful little gift that don’t break the bank!
