    This year, we are spending Thanksgiving with the family at home. We have kids that play hockey so, we will be in the arena a far bit. On Halloween I will be home handing out Candy (and at the arena for kids hockey)

  2. We are having a quiet Thanksgiving with just my dad because Christmas is going to be crazy with all of the family! We’ll probably go for a drive along the waterfront after dinner!

  3. Oh, wow, hard to believe that summer is gone and the autumn festivities are so near. In my ongoing quest to ‘live in the moment’, I am trying to embrace the beauty and fun of this season. Must take myself to the Hallmark store as the Spooky Metal House has caught my eye!

    Family over to my house Thanksgiving Sunday. Turkey and all the trimmings. My Mum who is 85 will be joining us as we only see her high days and holidays.

  5. We are spending Thanksgiving at the hall with all of my family. When we all get together there is over 35 of us. We make up a menu and everyone brings a dish.

  7. We are hopeful that all the kids make it home for Thanksgiving this year. One lives in Ottawa another in Belleville and another in Toronto…..and we live in the small town of Chesley. …so lots of driving for them….

    Can’t wait for Halloween, my favourite holiday. We usually go out with the kids for a half an hour or so ( They are old now, hard to get them to budge lol) and then I head home and pass out candy, love seeing all the kids dressed up :)

    My plans for Thanksgiving is to host my first dinner for my extended family. I’ve done Christmas but this is my first Thanksgiving. Looking forward to making all the yummy fall deserts. For Halloween I’m. Putting on a kid friendly spooktactular halloween party. It always rains or snows in my home town so thought I’d put on something fun for my kids and friends and family that won’t wind up making the kids sick.

    Since my husband is disabled, and even before, we usually celebrated important holidays at our home. Our family is grown up with children, and grandchildren of their own. It is difficult to get everyone together at one time. We did manage it last Christmas Eve.
    We had twelve people here for a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner. Two of my daughters helped me out and did the cleanup. It is wonderful to have some of the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren here for the meal.
    We had my daughter, her daughter in law and her grandson(our oldest greatgrandson) here for the weekend.
    We had lots of food, delicious gravy, apple crisp, lemon pie and pumpkin pie, icecream included for dessert. We has all home cooking, including rolls, coleslaw, dressing and cranberry sauce. We were very happy with hosting Thanksgiving.
