If you like to pick up a “Tims” on your way to work or before heading out shopping or if you follow along on social media, then I’m pretty sure you are aware that the Tim Hortons #WarmWishes trucks were recently doing something VERY special!
On November 16 from 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., Tim Hortons set up in Moncton, N.B. among six cities across Canada asking the community to submit their good deeds and wishes to be granted by Tim Hortons.
The Tim Hortons Warm Wishes trucks took wish submissions throughout the morning in the form of good deeds to Monctonians as well as the other selected cities. These residents of these cities were invited to join in on the good deeds by adding their own requests to the #WarmWishes cup.
Check out the video below and see how, on November 16th, 2016 Tim Hortons helped Canadians spread #WarmWishes coast-to-coast by bringing their good deeds for others to life.
WARNING – Have some tissues handy!
Approximately 150 good deeds across the country were completed, some of which included:
- Donating baby wipes, formula, and diapers to the Pregnancy Resource Centre in Moncton
- Sorting and providing coats for the Children’s Breakfast Club coat drive in Toronto
- Decorating the family room of the Calgary Health Trust Neonatal Unit
- Honouring a Children’s Wish Foundation volunteer for 20 years of service in Montreal
- Purchasing chemo caps and hair scarves for the Cancer Assistance Program in Hamilton
- Arranging for Santa to deliver toys and games to the Boys and Girls Club of South and East Vancouver
And that’s not all…Canadians who weren’t able to take part on November 16 are still able to participate until December 14 by submitting their good deed requests via social media.
Use the hashtag #WarmWishes and @TimHortons on Twitter or Instagram, the deed can be up to $5,000 in value.
What an amazing….and touching, snif, snif, video.Good to know we can still contribute to make Christmas more special for some group or person who may need it.
