~ CLOSED ~ It’s Springtime at Hallmark {w/Giveaway}

Compared to last years EPIC WINTER, this year, here on the east coast we have escaped relatively unscathed. We've had a few snowstorms, but nothing compared to the snowmageddon of 2015. I have actually been seeing and hearing sounds and signs of spring's arrival. I have noticed a few perennials cautiously poking their heads through the soil and just today I heard a robin singing. (Trust me, they were NOT singing last year!) I am so happy Spring officially arrives in one week. I … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday ~ They’re back!

Wordless Wednesday ~ For the last two springs we have had a pair of ducks show up on our street, rest for a few days and then fly away; and this year they are back.  I am not sure if they are the same pair of ducks each year, but I like to think they are. … [Read more...]

A little taste of Spring ~ Rhubarb Muffins ~ {Recipe}

My sister recently brought me some rhubarb freshly picked from her garden.  It looked and smelled so much like spring!  I cut off the leaves, washed it, wrapped it in some damp paper towel and put it in the fridge. As many of you know by now I LOVE making muffins! Yesterday, I decided to make some muffins with the rhubarb...I adapted a blueberry muffin recipe I had and they turned out really well.  Light and sweet with just a little tang from the rhubarb. Do you love muffins?  What are … [Read more...]
