This is the book we are reading for February in the book club I belong to. It’s actually my pick. A sweet friend of mine was reading it this past summer and said she was enjoying it. I had heard a lot of buzz surrounding the book and I must admit I was intrigued by the title, so, when my turn came a to select a book for the club, this was it.
“Spanning four decades, from 1968 onwards, this is the story of a fabulous but flawed family and the slew of ordinary and extraordinary incidents that shape their everyday lives. It is a story about childhood and growing up, loss of innocence, eccentricity, familial ties and friendships, love and life. Stripped down to its bare bones, it”s about the unbreakable bond between a brother and sister.” Indigo website.
