At Novica, artists and artisans around the world are given a global platform to express their true artistic talents and to spur their creativity. They provide consumers with access to unique, hard-to-find items at great values that only the Internet infrastructure can allow.
At the deepest essence of their philosophy, Novica wants to create a bridge between consumers and the many talented artisans across the globe.
They encourage you to know about who you’re buying from and to feel an attachment to the product and to the hands that created it.
In the spirit of the Internet, Novica brings us all together.
I was recently extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to select, for myself, an item from the extensive Novica online display. There is literally, something very special for everyone. The items available range from vases, rugs, musical instuments and furniture in Home Decor, to clothing, jewelry, and handbags in Jewelry & Apparel to the most amazing selection of acrylic, watercolour, oil and mixed medium art in Paintings.
As you may well imagine I had a very difficult time picking just one item! However, what I decided on was this beautiful alpaca shawl.
The gentle tone of nutmeg distinguishes this elegant shawl by Jorge Priori.
Working in luxurious baby alpaca wool, he weaves enchanting textures and finishes the wrap with hand-knotted fringe.
Renowned for its thermal qualities, alpaca is lightweight yet it possesses an incredible capacity for heat retention.
I live on the chilly and damp east coast of Canada, and even though it’s April the temperatures have been mostly in the minuses, so I’ve been giving this super soft, cozy wrap a good workout.
If you’re looking for a high quality and unique gift for that upcoming birthday, wedding, house-warming, or just for yourself…be sure to check out the complete line of distinct selections available at Novica.
