~ CLOSED ~ Sesame Street – Elmo’s Magic Numbers {Review & Giveaway}

Wondering what to do with the kids on those rainy summer days?  Hoping to keep them entertained with some quality content?  You can count on Elmo and the rest of the Sesame Street gang this summer as Sesame Workshop and Warner Home Video release, Sesame Street: Elmo’s Magic Numbers.

The little ones are so enthralled, they don’t even realize they are learning addition,  subtraction, vocabulary and that “math can be magical”!

In Sesame Street: Elmo’s Magic Numbers, Will Arnett (Arrested Development, Up All Night) plays Max the Magician and visits Sesame Street to put on a spectacular magic show for Elmo and his friends.  As the crowd watches in amazement, Chris points out that Max’s magic is actually based on math concepts that everyone can learn. Each hilarious lesson highlights a different aspect of the subject, including addition and subtraction.  The episode also includes favorite segments such as “Elmo’s World,” “Murray Had A Little Lamb” and “Bert and Ernie’s Great Adventures.”

The second Sesame Street episode “Hat Day” features Elmo and Zoe’s wacky contest to see who can wear the most hats! During this episode, kids are encouraged to count, estimate and use multiples as they seek to crown a winner of the challenge. Parents can also get in on the action during a hilarious, counting-themed spoof of NBC’s hit show 30 Rock entitled “30 Rocks.” A 15-minute extra of “Elmo’s World” about hats is also included on the DVD. As an added bonus, each unit contains a special offer from the Personalized Elmo & Friends CD.  Kids will delight in hearing their name spoken and sung by Elmo in three free customized tracks.
