Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
HHW is any harmful substance that is considered corrosive, toxic, flammable, or reactive. See the list below for examples of items you may find around your house. Please do not dispose of any hazardous items in your regular garbage or down the drain.
No Charge for HHW. Bring them to our facility, or to a round up event and we will ensure they are handled correctly. With the assistance of a professional hazardous waste management company, we’ll keep it out of the landfill. No industrial hazardous waste accepted.
Computer Recycling
You can recycle your old computer system along with your HHW.
Resident Recycling Fee: $5.00 / computer system
Recycling Fee: $6.50 / computer.
Typical household hazardous waste:
* Leave materials in original labelled packages * Never mix materials * Pack items in sturdy boxes * Staff will not empty containers for return to customer * Only household quantities accepted. * No Institutional, Commercial, or Contractor waste. * All containers must be 20L or less. |
