I don’t know about you, but I love to read! I just received an e-mail announcing the winners of the 2012 Goodreads Choice Awards, the only major book awards decided by readers and I wanted to share it with you. There were 1,156,852 votes cast and below are the winners.
I am a bit embarrassed to say I have only read one of these books, can you guess which one? What about you, have you read any of the books on this list? If so, do you feel it deserves the award?
UPDATE – May 16, 2016
I have now read a few more of these books including:
Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling — I was disappointed
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn — Although it received rave reviews, I couldn’t get into it.
The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman — I LOVED this book!
Wild – From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail — I really liked this book too. i also watched the movie but as often is the case, I enjoyed the book more!
The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene — Another good read and it wasn’t overly long.
Congratulations to the winners of the Goodreads Readers Choice Awards!

Wow, I haven’t read any of these, but have some titles to add to that growing “to read” list…
I think I probably have that same growing “to read” list also…difficult to get to all of them isn’t it Kevin!
With all the books I have read in the last while, I find it hard to believe that I,too, have only read one of them. I believe it is the same one that you might have read. The one that is going to be first on my “to read” list, though is J.K.Rowling’s new novel, The Casual Vacancy. I have heard that it is a great novel….. surprise, surprise!!
I was also wondering if the JK Rowlings book was any good…I’m also not surprised it gets good reviews!
I haven’t read any of those either, but we’ll have to keep them in mind for our book club.
That’s a great idea, Kathy.
