I am very excited to be participating in this, my third Biannual Blogathon Bash. The Blogathon Bash is a twice yearly event designed for bloggers to set aside a block of time and get some much needed housekeeping chores completed.
The event is taking place this week end {Jan 25th – 28th} and will run for 72 hours.{8am Friday to 8am Monday EST}
I think I’m almost set to go, this is what I have been working on in preparation for the blogathon:
- Make a “to do” list √
- Brew multiple pots of coffee √
- Have some high energy snacks available √
- Block out some extra time to get my blog organized √
-
Store up some extra sleep
This is what I have on my “to do” list:
- go back through all posts and add “rel=nofollow’, add categories and tags, put only my own or CC pictures on posts, make more SEO friendly {OK, who am I fooling, that alone will take me all week-end. {lol}
- Clean up and organize my e-mails
- Update my “Recipes”.
- Update my “Buttons & Things” tab.
- Participate in the “Mini Challenges” available for this blogathon.
- Complete 2 of the reviews/giveaways I have pending.
- Start organizing a couple posts for the upcoming A-Z Challenge {Starts April 1st}
- Visit my fellow “Biannual Blogathon Bash” participants.
Hmmmm…. seems fairly ambitious, but hopefully, I’ll be able to take a big chunk out of my “to do list”.
The event is 72 hours, you do as much blogging as you can during this time. Aim for 24 hours total but the hours are flexible!
There will be “Mini Challenges” (fun, easy projects that will better your blog), Twitter parties and some great prizes to be won.
If you want to learn more about the event or sign up, visit the Biannual Blogathon Bash.
I hope to see you there and if you’re participating, drop by and say “hi”.
And away we goooo!!!
:) Don’t forget to link up your post on the Blogathon site…I just linked mine up.
Good luck on your goals!
Thank you Ellen, hopefully I’ll get through some of them!!
Ambitious goals ROCK!! I am thrilled you do A to Z also. I am the tiniest bit prepared for that. I have what I call my “table of contents” in its beginning stages. Last year I had such a blast… for me the trick was having a theme.
My to-do list is long, too – and yours inspires me to add more… oh, no… oh YES!
Hi!
Glad you could participate. It’s always nice to see Canadian Bloggers (I’m a Canuck as well) Good luck on your goals!
Thanks Tony! It’s been nice connecting with some fellow Canadians. Hope you are enjoying the Blogathon, I’m getting a lot more done today than yesterday. Saturday was not a very productive blog day…lol, maybe we’ll meet up again at the twitter party!
I am trying to go by and visit everyone from the blogathon! (And follow on twitter/pinterest/fb..i’m doing good except on the FB..that always takes me longer!) (i’m xxpollypocket on pinterest and twitter and nicholes.autumn.rain is my fb page)
I hope you accomplished a lot. I didn’t get as much done as i’d have liked, but…there is always next time! :)

Hope to see you around! (and I know I will because you are on pitchit! :) )
