The Fault in Our Stars by John Green ~ Our Book Clubs Choice for April

The_Fault_in_Our_StarsThe Fault in Our Stars by John Green is the book the reading group I belong to read for April.  I love John Greens writing and I absolutely loved this book!    Seriously, how can you not love a book that contains this line:

“I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, then all at once.”

I did not read The Fault in Our Stars, in one sitting, but I wanted to!  I had to force myself to put it down when my life would rudely interrupt my total fascination with this story.  You will laugh, you will cry and you will have your heart broken.  My only question, how does this man write so well from a woman’s point of view?  The way he accomplishes this is pure brilliance!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.  (Amazon)

A most interesting read…. and I did love the way the author was able to perfectly express the emotions of a young teenage girl…not an east feat even for a teenage girl!!!
