~ Wordless Wednesday ~ This is Nurse’s Week so I thought I would share a collage of the three “Kelly girls”; we are all nurses, that is me on the left with my sister’s and . We were all “mature” students when we each decided to become nurses and we worked together at the same hospital, but in different units, for many years.

I’ve always been so proud of the photos of our nurses graduation. And the fact that we all accomplished that after having our children makes it even more meaningful.

My mom, sister, 3 aunts, 2 cousins are all nurses. Then my Grandma was one.

That’s awesome. My two older sisters are both registered nursing assistants. I don’t have the stomach for it myself but very proud of them.

I know, it is a bit unusual, we have several aunts who are nurses so that was probably an influence!
Nurses are so amazing! My late Nana was a nurse. She was such an independent, strong and selfless woman!! I truly appreciate how hard nurses work. It’s so cool that all your sisters are nurses too!
It is definitely not for everyone but it seems your Nana loved it and we all do too!

Nursing – they do more than a doctor, and get half of the recognition they require!! True unsung heros I say!

Congratulations to your sister Kathryn, I hope she loves nursing as much as we did! We certainly enjoyed all working at the same hospital; the only problem was when we all got together, all we did was talk about work!

Happy Nurses Week! I spent 10 year of my career working along side nurses (psychiatric nurses to be precise) and have a tremendous amount of respect for them!
