I took this picture while on a recent camping trip to the beach. It was a beautiful evening and the tide was out; my sisters and I decided to line up for an impromptu “Shadows on the Flats” photo opp! {PS I am loving the long lean look, *sigh*…if only I was so long and lean in real life!}
Great pic! I won’t even take a pic of my shadow. lol
lol…JoJo, I never knew shadows could be so slimming!
I love skinny shadows too. :)
Skinny shadows are the best Rosey!
I love the ripple effect of the sand in this pic… if only getting skinny was as simple as how one stood in the descending sun!!!
I know Pat, wouldn’t it be great if we could get (and stay) skinny by just standing in the descending sun!
Love this kind of pic!
It was a fun one to take Jenn!
Very very cool shot :)
Thanks Heather, it was a fun one to take!
Oh cool! That is such a neat perspective with the rippling sand!
Thanks Katherine, we had fun just giggling and getting ready to take the picture!! (I think we were all admiring our skinny bodies…lol)
What an awesome shot! Very cool perspective!
Thanks Christine, it was a fun shot to take!
So cool – you caught a bunch of neat stuff in this photo!
Thanks Kristy, I guess we were concentrating so much on the shadows we hardly noticed the beautiful background!
Reminds me of my twitter profile picture :) Love the waves in the sand too!
You cannot beat waves and sand, to me that combination immediately equals fun and relaxation!
Ha, how true! It’s a beautiful photo – I don’t think I’ve ever taken a photo of shadows … project! lol
Thanks Tammi, we certainly had fun admiring our long, lean bodies!
Gorgeous scenery. Love the ripply sand with your long lean shadows.
Thanks Deanna, difficult to take a bad shot with all that beautiful scenery (& long lean bodies…lol}!
Oh wow, what a cool picture :)
Thanks Robin, we had a great time posing…lol!
such long legs my dear!
lol…if only they were that long Jennifer!
That is just gorgeous! There aren’t many beaches alone the California coast with such a long stretch of sand before waves (even at low tide). Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Nikki, I love the mud flats, they seem to go on forever!
Fab pic and long legs lol ;-)
Haha! You do look so long and lean! I need to take a picture like this too!
Amber, I have decided that from now on all my photos will be in shadow form…lol!!
I LOVE sand shadow photos. This one is particularly fabulous. I may have to try this in replacement of a summer swimsuit photo. Hah!
lol…DeBalino, that’s what I love about the shadows, they are always very flattering!!
I love low tide! That’s when you find the most interesting things on the beach.
I know Olivia, I could spend hours just wondering the shore looking at all the interesting finds!
