Fall has arrived in all it’s magnificent glory! I had mentioned this in an earlier post, but I really do believe, fall is one of, if not my favourite season of the year.
The air is crisp and clean with no trace of oppressive heat or bitter cold. Maybe it is just me, but I think the sun shines more often in the autumn too. The hustle, bustle and constant activity of the summer is just a fun memory. Fall brings with it not only beautiful days but home gardens and Farmer’s Markets bursting with fresh fruits and vegetables.
{This gorgeous autumn photo was taken by the super talented, Catherine White, owner of Oak Lawn Images.}
After a summer hiatus, for me, the fall of the year also brings the much anticipated resumption of our Monday Night Book Club. I thought it would be fun to share our selections for the upcoming year and possibly get some suggestions from books on your “have read” and “must read” lists.
Our Monday Night Book Club Choices:
October 2013 – The Birth House by Ami McKay
November 2013 – The Town That Drowned by Neil Nason
December 2013 – The Art of Enjoying Dinner, Wine, Christmas and Fun Conversation! by Monday Night Reading Group (lol…We don’t assign a book for December, we just get together at a restaurant to celebrate the holiday season)
January 2014 – Town House by Tish Cohen
February 2014 – Wild: From Lost to found on the Pacific Coast Trail by Cheryl Strayed
March 2014 – Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
April 2014 – The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson

Great idea to connect with a whole new group. Love Kathy’s photo…. so much an autumn scene.
What a beautiful photo! Very tranquil. I have to say, our foliage doesn’t seem to be as good as last year’s was! I’m kinda disappointed.
Isn’t it gorgeous JoJo, our colours have peaked and most of the colourful leaves have slowly starting to cover the ground!
