If I was going to do one I think I’d wait till way late October, just to make sure it wouldn’t rot by Halloween. So the seeds and stuff just stay inside? You don’t have to clean them out b/f putting them on the pole?
No, you don’t need to clean him out JoJo, just impale the pumpkins on the pole and that’s it :)

Love the pumpkin man. Hope he’s still around for Halloween. Remember, pumpkins, after Halloween, broken in pieces, even the insides, make great treats for the deer.
We always break ours up after Halloween too Kathy…the deer love them but so do the squirrels and the birds. They usually are completely gone within 24 hours at most!
