Interested in Glamping, not Camping? Try Carefree RV Resorts

People wouldn’t necessarily see me as an outdoorsy kind of person.  I don’t even know if this qualifies as being outdoorsy; but I love camping!  I have always felt I was born 100 years too late and should have been a homesteader on the prairies.

Over the years, when our kids were little, my poor un-outdoorsy husband would humour me and we would go camping a few times every summer.  Now, when I say camping, I mean sleeping in a tent with only a little bubble pad and your sleeping bag between you and the ground.

Now that our kids are older, and so are we, a team of wild horses could not drag my husband camping.  He feels he has put in his time, he did it when the kids were little, and now says, he is “too old” to be sleeping on the ground and using public toilets and shower rooms.

Don’t get me wrong. Sleeping on the ground, then and definitely now, holds no appeal to me. It is the camaraderie, and the stress-free, uncomplicated, carefree lifestyle. That is what the appeal was and is.

If this describes your situation, if you are up for “glamping” but not camping, I have the perfect solution, Carefree RV Resorts.

I love it because it’s what I call princess camping LOL. I put in years and years of sleeping on the ground, getting bit by bugs and spiders, sore back and icky showers. I totally get where your hubby is coming from. I love this idea of glamping and what a great coupon for starters to use.

    • Jodi, now that I am no longer in my 20’s or 30’s…I totally understand…lol! You are so right, not sure what I was thinking back then, young & foolish I guess! Although I still go “camping” with my sisters for a week every summer, it is much more glamourous than traditional camping but not quite up to the “glamping” category.

Well you were thinking it’s fun and it was fun. I did so much bush camping, you can tell hubby we didn’t even toilets dirty ones to go in just the great outdoors, fishing, hiking, wiping with leaves LOL and when we’re young ya it’s cool and adventurous. Now my posture can’t take a hard ground anymore being in my 40’s LOL I need a toilet if I squat I’m not getting back up hahah.
