Join the #SodaStreamChallenge & Twitter Party


Like many people, with the dawning of this past new year I made a resolution to myself.  Mine was to consciously start eating healthier and exercising more with the aim of losing some weight.

How is that all going for me?  Well it went well for a couple of weeks. Then with the long, dark, dog days of winter, I started slipping. I know I need to get back on track and I am determined to do just that.

I have thought a lot about what I need to do to achieve my goal and I have come up with three things:

  1. Walk or exercise forty-five minutes to an hour at least three to four times a week. Try to get my 10,000 steps in on most days.
  2. Get in to a healthier eating regimen.  For me, that is mostly staying away from sweets; they are my nemesis.  The other is portion control. Other than those two thing, I eat a relatively healthy diet.
  3. The last, but definitely not the least, is drink more water.

I have never been a water drinker.  You will never see me carrying a bottle of water.  I know an adequate water intake is key to overall health and that it also aids in weight loss. But I have never been a water drinker. This may sound a bit strange, but I just don’t like the taste or feel of drinking water…it almost makes me feel a bit ill.

I am happy to say I have discovered an enjoyable way to consume my eight glasses of water per day! It is with my new SodaStream.  I can now make my own sparkling water, which I have discovered I love!


The SodaStream is simple to use and you can concoct all types of fancy drinks or just take water from your tap and turn it into what is basically, a free bottle of refreshing, sparkling water.

Now that I have found a enjoyable way to drink my eight glasses of water a day, combined with moderate exercise and nutritious food, I feel confident that I can achieve my New Year resolution to start leading a healthier life!
