We have two amazing kitties who deserve to be pampered forever. They are both rescued cats and the sweetest little girls! We believe, for the rest of their lives, they should never again have to worry. I can think of nothing I would rather do than pamper these innocent little creatures.
A Tale of Two Kitties
Somewhat like their human counterparts, little children; kitties also love to play in empty boxes!
Let me tell you a bit about these sweet girls. “Kazzy”, pictured on the left, is the eldest at eleven years of age and the most gentle little creature you will ever meet. She doesn’t like to be held, but with encouragement, will sit on your lap while you are watching television. Sometimes, she will even sit beside you, either on the arm of a chair or on a little table next to the sofa, while you have your morning coffee. She has also become my “Administrative Assistant” and loves to join me at my desk.
At about three years of age, “Harper Lee” (named after the author Harper Lee), and pictured on the right, is the baby of the family. A little more than two years ago, we adopted this sweet little girl from a cat rescue organization. She had been horribly abused, but is a little trooper and has nicely settled in with her new family. She sleeps on the bed, under the covers and with her head on the pillow, right between my husband and me EVERY night! She loves to cuddle, head butt and give kisses. She also loves to play, usually at about 4 AM, and doesn’t easily take no for an answer. We adore her!
These little girls bring us so much joy, love, and laughter. They make our home complete and we are thankful every single day to have these wonderful little creatures as part of our lives.
Last week my daughter and I decided it was time to pamper our girls. We headed to Walmart to pick up a few items to surprise them with a “spa day”. I mean really, what girl doesn’t love a manicure, pedicure, and massage?
After looking at a few options, we easily found everything we wanted to make their “spa day” special.

We picked up a pair of new nail scissors for their spa treatment, plus some goodies for after the spa: a mega bag of their favourite treats; catnip mice and some catnip mist to refresh the little toy mice.
We soon discovered that one of our little ladies enjoyed having a mani/pedi, a bit more than the other! Harper Lee enjoyed every aspect of her trip to the spa from her massage to a complete mani and pedi; little Kazzy, however, loved having a massage but was less than enthused over her pedicure and opted out of her manicure!

Our kitties love to be petted, kissed and have their neck scratched. They can spend hours sitting in a screened window or by the patio door watching the birds. They often play with their toys and chase little balls of tinfoil that we throw for them. They are both so sweet and we are totally in love with them.
We believe, and I hope you do too, that our pets are valued members of the family and they should be given the same care and consideration as any other family member. They should always have plenty to eat, fresh water, medical care, have a comfortable home, be played with and given unconditional love.
Do you have any pets as part of your family? If you do, I would love to hear all about them.
