These past few months my family and I have tried to eat healthier by following the President’s Choice Guiding Stars program. I have documented our journey in a series of posts:
- Part One invited you to, Follow My Journey with the Loblaws #GuidingStarsCA #PCStars Program.
- Part Two featured a, #GuidingStarsCA Follow-Up & My Meeting with a Registered Dietitian.
- In Part Three I had the opportunity to learn some healthy eating cooking tips and tricks on my My Visit to a PC Cooking School.
Today I am going to let you know how our journey has progressed and give you a bit of information about the #EatMoreStars, Earn More Points program that Loblaws has launched.
If you are unfamiliar with the PC GuidingStarsCA program, in a nutshell, when you are looking at product prices have you noticed 1, 2 or 3 stars stamped on the price label? These are Guiding Stars. The higher the number of stars, the more nutritious the item.
I made a little video that will explain the program in more detail.
When I started the Guiding Stars program I challenged myself to buy more nutritious foods and consume a healthier diet. I was able to track my progress by logging into my Guiding Stars® Personal Profile. (This is an online tool that tracks the amount of Guiding Stars® rated products in your grocery shop and assigns you a level from 1 to 5.)
At that time, my Personal Profile was a Level 3, which is average. However, I challenged myself to eat healthier and hoped to be a Level 5 by the end of the summer.
I am happy to report that although I am currently at Level 4, I have been at a Level 5 this summer. With summer’s end around the corner and everyone getting back to a routine I am confident I will be able to get back to Level 5 and stay there.
To help all of us along the path to a healthier diet, Loblaws has an new exciting event to share with you!
The Eat More Stars & Earn More PC Points Event
Loblaws wants to encourage everyone to eat a healthier diet by eating more stars.
Right now and continuing until September 17, 2015, Loblaws will be rewarding PCPlus users (membership is FREE) for eating more stars with their Eat More Stars Event.
Just increase the number of stars in your basket and get rewarded by earning bonus PC Plus points!
Here’s How it Works
- The 1st offer runs from Wednesday, August 26, 2015 – Thursday, September 3, 2015
- The 2nd offer runs from Wednesday, September 2, 2015 – Thursday, September 10, 2015
- The 3rd offer runs from Wednesday, September 9, 2015 – Thursday, September 17, 2015
You must login to your PCPlus account to load each offer. All you need to do is visit GuidingStars.ca and log in to your banner store, located on right side of your screen. I live in Atlantic Canada and shop at the Atlantic Superstore, so I clicked on that link.
After you select your banner store, you will be directed to the login page of that store.
This is how you load your Eat More Stars special offer, it’s easy:
Log in to your profile – Enter your email address and password to access your profile.
Load your Eat More Stars, Earn More Points Offer – Click on the “My Guiding Stars Profile” tab on the drop-down menu and you will be prompted to load your Eat More Stars offer for that week. (See photo below)
Make sure to still load your regular weekly offers as the Eat More Stars Event is an ADDITIONAL LOAD to your regular weekly offers.
This must be done on a computer and will not work on your mobile device or PC Plus app.
Once loaded, not only will you get the weekly special offer, (this week it is 3,000 points for every $10 spent on cereal), but PC Plus members will also enjoy:
- 10 pts for each 1 star rated product
- 30 pts for each 2 star rated product
- 60 pts for each 3 star rated product
Points will add up very quickly during the Eat More Stars Event resulting in more PC points for you which you can then cash in for free groceries. How great is that?
Don’t forget, the 3rd offer runs from Wednesday, September 9, 2015 – Thursday, September 17, 2015, and you will need to load it in ADDITION to your regular weekly offer.
Remember, all you need to do is follow the Stars to find nutritious foods for you and your family! Also, be sure to take part in the Eat More Stars Event and be rewarded for eating healthy!
