Are You Familiar with #WINKDay {w/Twitter Party Details}

Cancer and its treatment rob a woman of many things, including her sense of self. Your participation in #WINKDay will help a woman with cancer see herself in the mirror again and bring awareness to the social and emotional challenges she faces. All money raised will fund Look Good Feel Better workshops that provide valuable cosmetic tips and tools to lift her spirits and help her face cancer with courage.

LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER

Look Good Feel Better offers free support programs for women with cancer. They believe that if a woman with cancer can be helped to look good, chances are she’ll feel better, her spirits will be lifted and she’ll be empowered to face her illness with greater confidence. They like to call it a ‘makeover for the spirit’.

This year Shoppers Drug Mart is once again putting women’s health ﬁrst, and taking it to the next level! Here’s how you can get involved on June 16, 2016.

I actually used the great services offered by the “Look Good, Feel Better’ program when I had breast cancer 9 years ago. It’s a fun evening with people who go from feeling a little down at the beginning of the session to feeling empowered at the end. I would highly recommend it as a spirit booster, to any woman going through the side effects of cancer.
