I can barely believe another summer is drawing to a close. Honestly, where does the time go? My birthday was in early summer and I could swear that was just a couple of weeks ago!

We’ve been enjoying the last few weeks of summer by spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors with lots of day trips to the beach, hiking and a few picnics.

Just recently, we’ve even embarked on a couple of short, impromptu getaways as we try to squeeze every single drop out of summer!

The only downside to spending time outdoors at the beach, hiking or impromptu travel is worry about allergies.

My hubby, myself and both of our kids suffer from allergies. Even though I know as a nurse and a mom, my family needs to avoid certain allergy triggers such as pet dander, pollen, ragweed and mold…sometimes life happens and exposure to these allergens can’t be avoided.

allergies

You know the situations I mean!  Ragweed is blooming everywhere but you can’t stay locked in the house for weeks on end. Your neighbour’s two beautiful and “shedding everywhere” shepherds come for a visit, or most recently, your beautiful beach rental comes fully stocked with allergens like dust mites and indoor mold.  Before we could store our luggage, we were experiencing nasal congestion, runny noses, sneezing and itchy noses.

If like us, you are an allergy sufferer, you know these unexpected situations can and do happen. The key is to be prepared, get quick relief and effectively deal with an allergic reaction.

A product that has worked really well for us is Nasacort Allergy 24HR. For Canadians with nose-related allergy symptoms, Nasacort Allergy 24 HR is the intra-nasal steroid (INS) product that targets irritated and inflamed nose and nasal passages and provides non-drowsy temporary 24HR relief!

  1. I’ve never tried this nose spray. We all have different allergies here and I know the struggle alright. My husband contends with brutal hay fever often and my youngest sneezes for months without appropriate allergy medicine. I’ll look for Nasacort another time. Thanks for the info about it.

  2. I hope the local store sells this product. My husband has allergies, I must try everything to make him better.

  3. I don’t know if I could do nose spray, I’ve tried a sinus rinse before and it was an epic fail. It sounds like Nasacort would be a great solution to my pet allergies.

  4. Great info! My son’s allergies have just started up again and we have a coughing child all night, I need to get them back under control ASAP.

This year my allergies have been horrible. The worse case I’ve experienced in my life so have to take allergy medicine. I’ve seen commercials for Nasacort, it’s finally great to hear a new perspective.

  7. Suzanne Melton says:

I have been very lucky since moving to the South to not have to deal with allergies for almost 10 years. But, that said, some are starting to sneak in and I am in need of something to help manage what I am getting. Thanks for your informative post.

  8. I think I live in the allergy capital of the world and definitely have to take a 24-hour allergy medication. The doctor says nasal mists are the best and although I can’t bring my self to use one, I trained my kids from an early age to use them!

  9. My daughter and I struggle with allergies and right now is absolutely the worst around here. All the cornfields and bean fields are drying out and the amount of dust it creates is incredible. Maybe I will give this a try.

  10. OMG i am the same way, we all have seasonal allergies, and I am constantly taking allergy medication for it. I will try this brand out and see if it works better.

  11. Becca Wilson says:

Allergies can be really detrimental in the long run. Having a way to be able to take care of them is always great. This sounds like an amazing product.

  12. Princess Quinn says:

Oh my, I do have allergies too and it’s so annoying! I will check these products out and hope it will work for me.
