Easter Magic Bars

Share/Bookmark

If you are looking for a delicious, easy, make-ahead treat for Easter, this recipe for Easter Magic Bar is for you!

Easter Magic Bars

All I did was take my traditional recipe for Magic Bars/Hello Dolly Squares (some people call them Magic Bars and some Hello Dolly Squares) and tweaked it a bit to make them more ”Eastery”. (I don’t think that’s even a word…but you get the idea!)

Easter Magic Bars

I love how they turned out, not only do that taste amazing, the pretty pastel colours look very Easter and springlike!

Serves: 40
Ingredients
  • Graham Cracker Base:
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1+1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • Toppings:
  • 284 ml (10 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup chopped Walnuts
  • 1+ ¼ cup flaked coconut
  • 225g ( ~ 1cup) White Chocolate Chips
  • 1+1/2 cup Cadbury Mini Eggs
Instructions
  1. Graham Cracker Base:
  2. Combine the crumbs and sugar; add melted butter and blend well. Press onto the bottom of a parchment lined 9" x 13" baking pan.
  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
  4. Cool on a wire rack before adding remaining ingredients.
  5. Toppings:
  6. Carefully pour the sweetened condensed milk over the graham cracker crust, try to get it as even as possible.
  7. As evenly as possible, sprinkle over the base, chopped walnuts, followed by coconut, then white chocolate chips and finally the mini eggs.
  8. Using the palm of your hand press the entire mixture down slightly into the milk.
  9. Bake in a 350° oven for ~ 25 mins or until lightly browned around the edges.
  10. Cut into 40 squares when cooled.

This was very easy to make and is so pretty. I had my chocolate eggs in the fridge as it was under ‘refrigerated’. So all the Cadbury eggs cracked when I put them in the oven. It actually looks great!
