Barbecued Ribs
Recipe type: Dinner
  • 2 slabs of pork back ribs
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Barbecue Sauce {We used Maple, Brown Sugar & Bourbon but most any good sauce would work just fine,}
  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees F.
  2. Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil {to help with clean-up}
  3. Cut 4-5 eighteen inch pieces of aluminum foil.
  4. {Although you can be organized and do this with one person, I find the easiest way is for this to now becomes a 2 man job. One person will handle the meat and therefore will be "contaminated", The another stays "clean" and handles everything EXCEPT the meat.}
  5. Generously season ribs with salt and pepper.
  6. Slice ribs into portions of 2-3 bones each.
  7. Put a dollop of barbecue sauce on one of the pieces of the aluminum foil, add 2 portions of ribs, cover ribs with sauce, add another portion and more sauce.
  8. Fold up foil to seal ribs into the packet. Plave sealed packet on foil covered baking sheet.
  9. Repeat with remaining ribs.
  10. Place tray of rib packets in oven and roast for approximately 4 hours.
  11. Remove tray from oven, open packets and barbecue ribs to sear and crisp up.
