How to Cook Bacon in the Oven
  • Bacon slices
  1. Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Place bacon on a sheet pan, close together but not overlapping.
  3. Place pan in middle of the oven.
  4. Turn oven on to 400 degrees F.
  5. Time will vary with the thickness of the bacon, oven temperature, and your taste.
  6. Check back in 18 minutes and then every minute or so until bacon is cooked the way you like it.
  7. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. I like to then put a couple paper towels on top of the parchment paper in the sheet pan to help absorb any grease and prevent spills.
  9. Drain bacon on paper towels.
If you use thick cut bacon increase the cooking time by a few minutes.

Turn oven on AFTER you put bacon in.
