Brookies ~ Part Brownie, Part Cookie

Ingredients
  • CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES - Your own recipe or you are welcome to use mine. (Linked)
  • BROWNIES - One package of premium brownie mix.
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a 9”x9” (23cm x 23cm) metal pan with parchment paper. (See note in the blog post)
  3. Prepare chocolate chip cookie dough, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough.
  4. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
  5. Pour brownie mix into the prepared pan.
  6. Using two teaspoons drop bits of dough all over the surface of the brownies in a bit of a cobblestone pattern, covering most of the brownie batter.
  7. Gently press cookie dough into the brownie batter.
  8. I used about half of my cookie dough for the brookies and just made cookies with the remaining dough.
  9. Cover the pan with aluminium foil and bake in a preheated oven for approximately 55 minutes, removing foil for the last 12-15 minutes.
  10. You will need to watch them carefully for the last 15 minutes as oven temperatures vary greatly. If you find the cookies are getting too brown before the brownies are cooked, re-cover with foil.
