GIVE A GIFT THAT MEANS THE WORLD

When you symbolically adopt a species at risk, you’re giving an extraordinary gift while supporting WWF’s conservation efforts. Help make a difference around the world. Give the gift that keeps on giving. In addition to feeling good about your gift, you will also receive an applicable tax receipt.

With all adoptions, gift recipients will get a fun and educational adoption kit, including a:

  • Personalized adoption certificate
  • High-quality wildlife plush and collector card
  • Recycled gift bag
  • Details on the work this gift will help support

Here is a just a small sampling of the species available for adoption:

SAVE A POLAR BEAR

The polar bear is the world’s largest terrestrial carnivore and one of Canada’s most majestic symbols. However, the polar bear’s survival is challenged by global warming. Melting sea ice due to climate change means polar bears have a shorter hunting season – leading to malnutrition and starvation.

WILDLIFE ADOPTIONS – $40.00

SAVE AN ASIAN ELEPHANT

Elephants are the largest living land mammal. Sadly, there are fewer than 33,000 Asian elephant in the wild and most populations are small and isolated, living across fragmented landscapes.

WILDLIFE ADOPTIONS – $40.00

SAVE A COMMON LOON

The haunting call of the common loon is a familiar sound throughout our northern wilderness. In fact, this diver is so well-loved in Canada it appears on the “Loonie” coin. While the common loon is not at risk, it does represent the many species that call freshwater ecosystems their home, and which are threatened by habitat loss, pollution and water extraction.

COMMON LOON ADOPTION – Regular Price: $40.00,  On Sale For: $25.00

For complete details and a full list of all species available for adoption, please visit the World Wildlife Federation Store.
