A couple of weekends ago, we decided a little trip was in order and went to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Halifax is about a 3.5-hour drive from where we live. Our trip to the local Farmer’s Market
I love this time of year, our local farmer's market, which up until a couple of weeks ago had a bit of local produce is now bursting at the seams with fresh beans, carrots, potatoes, garlic, radishes, onions, cucumbers, lettuces and the list goes on! Our first attempt at making dill pickles.
In our house, we are all dill pickle fanatics and have often talked about the possibility of making a batch ourselves. Our son, who lives in Ontario, is home for a couple weeks vacation, he also wants to learn, so we thought it would be a great time to attempt the making of the dill pickles.
