Each summer, for the past ten or twelve years, my sisters and I have gone on a little “sister’s getaway”. Occasionally, one or two of our grown daughters will join us, but most often, it’s just the three of us. The spectacular ocean view from our deck! (The tide is receding in this photo. When the tide is in (high tide), this entire area will be covered in several feet of water. Depending on what we plan on doing and where we are going, we usually stay for two to five nights. Camping at … [Read more...]
A Fun Day with My Sisters
I am fortunate to have always lived in relatively close proximity to my two sisters. They’re both older than I am by a few years (they’re going to want to kill me for saying that...but keep reading!) which I’m absolutely sure was a real pain for them when we were all younger and still living at home. You see, they were the two oldest of five kids and were often in charge of “babysitting” and “looking after” their three younger siblings. That included me. I was sandwiched between two brothers … [Read more...]
A Girls Trip to Fundy National Park
Last week my two sisters, my niece and I went on a fun day trip to Fundy National Park. We are very fortunate to have this gorgeous national park a relatively short drive from where we all live. My sisters and I are also very lucky that our sweet niece/daughter likes to spend time with her aunts and mom. She has acted as the driver on many, many, many fun road trips. We lovingly call her our "pack mule", a phrase she coined on a trip we all took to visit relatives in Virginia. On that … [Read more...]
Visit to the Winter Market and Lunch With My Sisters

I love going to our local Farmer's Markets in the summer months and now our neighbouring community has started a winter market too! The market is located inside one of the large greenhouses at Cedarcrest Gardens. I thought this was such a fabulous use of a greenhouse the would otherwise, for the most … [Read more...]
The Twisted Sisters Go Camping!
After many weeks of counting the days, it is finally almost here. Tomorrow I am heading out on a 6 day, 5 night camping trip with my sisters. We’re going to be staying in a "rustic shelter" at a Provincial Park, in New Brunswick. This is our 5th year of what has become an annual event; a way to get away for 6 glorious days, from husbands, kids, worries and responsibilities! When I say rustic shelter. I do mean rustic. It is basically a 14' x 14' wood frame covered in a heavy-duty tarp. No … [Read more...]

My sisters and I recently headed out on a "girls" camping trip. This was our 4th year and each year we've managed to stay a bit longer...lol.
