Artwork is always a beautiful and personal gift for the special people in our lives. Whether it is the photo of flowers that reminds you of someone you love, a breathtaking panorama, unique architecture or a bit of whimsy; as you browse the Oak Lawn Images catalogues you will find a photograph that will be perfect for everyone on your list. The beautiful background image you see above in this post, above right on my blog, and accompanying all 2014 Gift Guide entries was taken by the wonderfully talented photographer, Catherine White, owner of Oak Lawn Images.
I find many men, my husband included are very hard on footwear. It seems every time I turn around; his dress shoes or casual shoes have a hole in the sole, the upper is separating from the base, or the stitching is letting go…there is always a shoe catastrophe of one kind or another happening. That is until we all started wearing Skechers!
Since Skechers is a brand I know and love, that this pair was made by Skechers was a given, the only variable was the style. What a tough decision, honestly I don’t think there was a single pair that I didn’t like. Which only made my decision more difficult! (Heads up…Skechers make the perfect Christmas gift!)
In case you have missed the social media buzz these past few weeks about the release of the Keurig 2.0. The major difference with the Keurig 2.0 is the ability to brew not only a single cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, but also the ability to brew a whole carafe! Perfect if you are having friends over for coffee or when you know, a single cup just won’t cut it. Which for me, is just about every day!
Two talented song-and-dance men (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) team up after the war to become one of the hottest acts in show business. One winter, they join forces with a sister act (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) and trek to Vermont for a white Christmas. Of course, there’s the requisite fun with the ladies, but the real adventure starts when Crosby & Kaye discover that the inn is run by their old army general who’s now in financial trouble. And, as you may guess, the story has a happy ending.
