Dinners for the family I can handle, I love to cook and we always eat together at the table. But with grown kids and many different schedules, for us, breakfast is more an eat as you get up and/or feel like it type meal. Luckily for us, we just received a big box from Kelloggs containing all their new products and a few surprises, so we now had lots of breakfast and snack choices!
Even though my “kids” are no longer little it took them {and me} no time at all to rip open the carton and start trying all the new products!
First up were the new Krave cereals, being a self proclaimed chocaholic I had to try them right away!
The NEW Kellogg’s Krave Chocolate flavour cereal will instantly satisfy your chocolatey urges. It’s crispy on the outside, with a devilishly smooth chocolatey inside and at only 120 calories and 3 grams of fat per 3/4 cup you can eat it guilt free!
All the chocaholics, listen up, the NEW Kellogg’s Krave Double Chocolate flavour is for you (and me). It’s got a crisp chocolatey outside, with a velvety smooth chocolatey inside and all that chocolate goodness still has has only 120 calories and 3 grams of fat per 3/4 cup!
Sometimes, if I’m having a mid-morning or mid-afternoon craving, I’ll just grab a handful of one of these cereals and eat it just as it is, it’s delicious to munch on!
I’m a big lover of granola but it’s often very high in fat and calories so I try to limit my intake. When I saw the box of Special K* Low Fat Granola cereal that was also included, I was very interested in trying it. The granola was clusters of crunchy whole grain oats with a touch honey. With only 3 grams of fat, 210 calories and a healthy 5 grams of fibre in each 1/2 cup serving I’ll now be eating granola more often! {Special K Low Fat Granola cereal has 50% less fat per serving than the leading competitive granola (per 55 g serving).}
My package also included were two Stayfit Deluxe Cereal Kits; these kits come apart and you put the the top piece in the freezer (it contains on non-toxic freezer gel) and in the morning you add your milk to the top, your cereal to the bottom, screw it back together and you’re all set to go, no refrigeration needed. Your milk stays cold and they’ve even included a cute little fold up spoon that attaches to the bowl.
I used one of the Stayfit deluxe cereal kits to carry yogurt and granola instead of milk and cereal. I froze the milk cup and in the morning put in my yogurt. It worked perfectly and was still icy cold when I ate it with granola as an afternoon snack.
Also in the carton were two boxes of Special K Crisps. As the name says, they’re crispy and each contain a delicious filling. With 100 calories and only 2 grams of fat per two crisp serving (25 g) these make a perfect portion controlled snack. They’re available in two new flavours: Chocolate and Cinnamon Brown Sugar and my family and I loved them both, in fact…both boxes are now empty!
Oh, I can’t forget, the kind people at Kelloggs also included an awesome T-shirt, which was quickly claimed by my son and is now, as I write, winging it’s way to Ontario!

Great review, off to eat cereal as a snack!

Thanks Sarah:)
Sounds like it would also be a hit with the grandchildren in my life….. that is if there are any left when they get here!!!
I think the granola would be my personal favorite. The cereal cups with separate sections for milk, or yogurt is a great idea. That was smart of you to freeze that section first. Great idea.
