Wholly Guacamole and Salsa = Easy Entertaining!

Most of us need no reminder that the busiest entertaining season of the year is barreling down on us like a runaway train! There is no turning back and before we can blink, we will be inundated with parents, in-laws, siblings, and friends.  Whether they are staying for an hour or a few days, they will be looking forward to some tasty treats from our kitchen.  And, because it is the season of joy and good will toward men, we cannot  disappoint! Honestly, I love a "traditional" meal or snack as … [Read more...]

Have You Read “Sisters In The Wilderness” by Charlotte Gray?

I read several good books this past summer; yikes, did I just use the past tense of summer? How depressing is that.   Anyhow...lol...I did read a few good books over the past couple of months. (That sounds much better!) I am currently reading Orange Is The New Black by Piper Kerman. (I am half finished and so far...it is awesome!)  However, the book I want to tell you about is Sisters In The Wilderness by Charlotte Gray. … [Read more...]

R.W. Knudsen Family® Spritzers {Review}

I'm not a pop drinker at all, I find it way too sweet and we all know it's loaded with sugar; I don't care for diet pop, I find it has a terrible aftertaste. But sometimes I want something more fun and sparkly than plain water or juice, something carbonated but without all the sugar and unpronounceable ingredients. … [Read more...]

In My Mother’s Kitchen by Trish Magwood – Review

I could easily live with only one television channel, the Food Network, and anyone who knows me even a little can attest to my great love of recipes, cooking, baking and entertaining.   I love talking about these things, as well as comparing recipes and cooking techniques. I'm always surrounded by cookbooks and read them like most people would read a novel! … [Read more...]

TheraBreath – Review

OK everyone...raise your hand if you've ever checked to see if you have bad breath by breathing into your hand?   ...pick me...pick me...my hand is raised and waving!!!  If you answered yes... I used to answer yes too... you are WRONG.  I never knew this but it makes sense (pardon the pun!), breathing into your hand is a great way to smell your hand, however, you won't smell your breath this way. A better method for checking your breath is to lick the back of your hand, let it dry, then … [Read more...]
